A contemporary take on urban loft living, this project focuses on the multifunctional use of spaces and subtlety of design. The loft is located in an historic landmark building with the original turquoise terra-cotta pilaster tiles peeking through the sides of the windows. That turquoise blue informs the interior color palette and inspired the Heath chevron tiled wall in the entry. The addition of marble windows sills reflect light inward and upwards, while adding a softer material to the original industrial metal and concrete. The exposed beams and and fire sprinklers add another layer of complexity and interest, and again highlighted by the use of differing colors. Floors are matte polished concrete with a water based sealer.
